Battlefords RCMP will hold a food drive to collect food and toys for the Battlefords District Food and Resource Centre.
On Saturday, Dec. 10, the RCMP will have a police cruiser at Discovery Co-op Mall. The idea is to fill it with as much food and toys as possible.
There are some most needed items they’re requesting.
- Peanut butter
- Canned goods
- Pancake mix
- Pasta
- Cereal
- Cookies
- Crackers
- Tea and instant coffee
- New toys for children 16 and under
Battlefords RCMP Sgt. Neil Tremblay says this is the second year they’ve run the event. “These kinds of partnering events with the community help [RCMP] members engage on a more personal level with people in the community…” Remarked Sgt. Tremblay. “It’s also very important to be part of the solutions as we try to help some of the people who are struggling, especially at this time of year.”
The police cruiser will be at Discovery Co-op Mall from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10.
