North Battleford is no longer under a fire ban.
A release from the City on Thursday confirmed it will be lifted effective immediately after being put in place earlier this month.
According to a Saskatchewan Active Wild Fire Situation Map, there are currently 66 active fires, all of which are in the north and roughly a dozen near communities Buffalo Narrows, La Ronge, Denare Beach and Ile-a-la-Crosse have yet to be contained.
To date, there have been 541 wildfires in the province.
One of those fires has forced the recent evacuation of Southend; and earlier this month over 1,400 community members from Sandy Bay were transported to Prince Albert and Saskatoon.
